The Pima County Sheriff’s Posse is a non-profit, all-volunteer, mounted unit founded in 1946.
Our goal is to keep alive the Cowboy tradition of the Southwest and to educate the public about the joys and
fascination with Southern Arizona's outdoors on foot and on horseback.
.
The Posse contributes its time and services to community projects, as well as trail riding events for charities.
The Posse participates in several Parades each year including the Tucson Rodeo Parade, the
Green Valley Parade, the Tombstone Parade, the El Paso Parade, and others.
.
To help raise funds a monthly Gymkhana is conducted. This event is geared toward families, giving
adults and children of all ages the opportunity to participate in horseback events and games.
If you are interested in becoming a Posse Member and you want to give back to your community while
enjoying the great outdoors by horseback (or mule)
